We have about 250 letters written by two brothers to their mother here in Brisbane during WWII.
Eunice wrote them up into a 300 page book, included appendices of the postmarks, censor marks, censors etc, and included other bits of social history of the time.
No one was a bit interested in publishing it of course (too small a market to be viable, so it is sitting indoors in a drawer.
The State Library showed an interest in the letters, but said that they would have no time to do anything with them so they would remain in the vaults in storage if we donated them.
We did not think that was very sensible, so still have the letters.

There does seem to be more interest now that there is so much more
'presence' on the internet and forums such as The Stamp Community and the like do a great job in dissemination of information.
