Does anyone know of a stamp store in the St. Louis, Missouri area? We are going there for a few days and I would love to find a good store to visit.

Dragon, Thank you very much. Do you have any more info on the stamp show that is held the second Saturday of each month? It sounds like it would be fun. |

Dragan, Could I pester you with one more question?! Of the stores you mentioned, which would be the best one for children? I have an 8 year old and a 6 year old who collect. We are always on the lookout for cheap, topicals for them. I am also always looking for dirt cheap lots of kid-appealing stamps to give to the members of our junior stamp club. So, basically, we would need the store with the cheapest, most colorful stamps! |

Spanishmoss, well I can only speak for David Semsrott and Star coins and stamps,as I have not been to regency stamps. But I can say that you should be happy with either location but I would go to David's store first. He is about as friendly as can be and usually has plenty of time to spend with you,the only thing with Star is they also deal in coins and the way the bullion market is now they can get a little crowded and focus on that sometimes, but they are wonderful people also. There is a few other jewelry/coin/stamp stores in stl also but I have not visited them.Of course the Fenton show would be good as there is usually free stamps for kids. This topic got me thinking,I guess I'm kinda lucky be within an hour of st louis with all the stores around but I never really visit the brick and mortar stores as often as I should. We have the monthly show I attend and usually 3-4 other yearly shows and they eat up my meager stamp budget. lol. Anyway hope you enjoy your visit to St Louis, there actually is quite a few things to do..check out the zoo of course,we love Grants Farm and the science center or a ball game. |

Dragon, Thank you so very much for all the info. We are going to try to make it to the stamp show in Fenton, depending on our schedule. If that doesn't work, we will try to go to Star Stamp and Coin. It's so nice to have options!! |

Hey Dragon,
We ended up making it to the show in Fenton. What a nice group of people!! We were only able to stay for about an hour but found lots of very reasonably priced goodies. Thank you so very much for recommending it. |

Thanks, StamperDude.
We got a huge box filled with thousands of US stamps for a mere $10. The stamps were in little piles of 5. I've spent hours already, sorting and filing them.
My older son found some Boy Scout covers for an exhibit he's working on.
It was definitely worth the stop! |
