This HUH? stamp arrived on a postcard today. You can't tell from the scan, but the areas that look black are shiny silver! I can't quite make out what the stamp is of, though in a way it looks like a cake with a candle. Thoughts?  |

Your stamp is from a silver-foiled miniature sheet - five drops of happiness, released for Valentine's Day greetings on 22 January, 2009. This particular stamp is described as: Valentine's Day is celebrated with a layer cake. However I notice that Stanley Gibbons describes it as: Temple. Huh?? OK, this is possibly the dumbest "stamp" I have ever seen and is a contender for the "HUH??" category! I believe this is one of those do-it-yourself stamps from software through USPS but am unsure. I AM sure that it is NOT a us official release issue! "Towley" the stoner towel character from the animated, adult contented South Park. Enjoy? lol   |

That stamp would be made via the Zazzle website. I think it can be described as Zazzlel being an online "agent" for custom US postage... |

I really don't care for the do-it-yourself style stamps. I think it has been covered before about their place (or no place, as it were) in Philately. I don't think one could even attempt to put any sort of nomenclature to these anyway. |
