Giles le timbre - thanks so much for the link. I was able to identify a couple that I had listed as needing as well as 20+ that I was unaware of. Now I have to update my binder AFTER I search my collection for these new varieties - I have found that I have some already.

I'm not sure if my stamp is one of those you're looking for. I'll gladly share the scan if somebody can identify it for me! The design could be one of those from Edward that was going to be used with a portrait of George VI I 1937, but I've only found reference to 1, 2 and 3 cent varieties, not the 4 cent one I have. Another puzzler is that mine has been postally cancelled, apparently in 1952. |

Elaine - this is a cut corner from a preprinted envelope. Looks like U65 as a catalogue number (Scott).
It was very common for people to cut these from the envelopes in order to mount them in their collections. That's why it has the appearance of being imperforate. |

Don't know if this interests you, or if you are including provinces, but here is my 1910 Newfoundland King James I from the John Guy Issue, Unitrade #87. I posted this on another thread. The stamp has an unlisted error in that it is missing the upper diagonal stroke of the K in King. I sent a scan of this to the British North American Philatelic Society and heard back from member Jean-Claude Vasseur who said among other things, "Your example can be classified as appealing and deserves certainly attention as the three listed "errors". |

Thanks jamesw. I did see your original posting. I'll add it to my EFO binder. I should note that my binder doesn't cover misperfs or tagging as I use the binder at stamp shows to quickly identify EFOs that are visible with or without a loup and without a lamp. Misperfs are obvious. The binder is divided by stamp face value so I can flip to the 37 Cent pages and immediately know if the 37 cent stamp I'm looking at has any varieties. |

Sorry to revive a very old thread but I am very interested to obtain a high resolution scan of #133ii shown in this thread a few posts back by luvthecommonwealth. I would like to get a scan of the whole stamp at the same high resolution used for the close-up of the variety.
If luvthecommonwealth or anyone else could help me out, I would be most appreciative. |

I strongly suspect that the website jeanlafontaine.com was owned by Jean Lafontaine FRPSC and Director of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada. Unfortunately, Jean passed away late in September 2015. Jean was a huge presence in philately in Quebec and was one of the organizers of FILEX and the 2017 annual convention of the RPSC in Boucherville, Quebec. His obituary was published in The Canadian Philatelist (Jan/Feb 2016) on page 53. He was a fine gentleman, liked and well respected be those of us fortunate enough to have known him. GJP |
