This is a German part of an old album, completely scanned (66 pages with German stamps). There is a lot of stamps from early Germany, Nazi Germany, Occupations zones, city post offices etc.

I will be thankful if someone can tell me is there any stamp on which I will need to look more carefully. Thank you!

I'm not in any way good with Germany but I do know there are many variables between watermarks and perfs. Generally used is worth more and if you find a high catalog used it generally needs to be certified due to many frauduulent postmarks and also out of period "favor cancels". Very tough country to collect and there are a few specialist that will chime in I'm sure. Quick glance at some of the scans tells me you have some work to do but may be well worthwhile.

You have some nice stamps there. some good cancels as well. A few of the early ones are worth a few $. The same goes for the Reich period. I would give ALL of them a good going over!

I really like the 1940 German Red Cross blocks. I haven't seen them before, and cannot find a reference to them. Anyone else know anything about them?

Rileysan,

Those are Bohemia and Moravia, Michel 53-54, Scott B1-B2.

Issued 29 June 1940 in sheets of 100 (50 stamps, 50 labels) in a checkerboard arrangement.

And I guess I should note, on 20 April 1941, they issued a second Red Cross set (Mi 62-63, Sc B3-B4), again in the beautiful checkerboard sheet.

It took some digging, but I found photos of the Red Cross stamps in full sheets. B&M was really good about producing some attractive full sheets.

I collect full sheets of German-occupied Poland and Croatia, but I made a decision not to do the same with B&M because of the sheer number of issues available in full sheets.

Might have to rethink that decision...

Maybe a quite odd question, but I need a 2nd opinion:

one local philatelist ask me to sell him this album (German pages)...

is it going to be underpriced if I let it to him for $100?

Filipo,

Unfortunately, I'm on vacation and do not have a catalogue with me. There are a few items that need to be checked before you agree to a price. In particular, the early overprinted stamps on page 7, early airmails, early Berlin stamps on page 27 which are often worth more used than mint, and any late 40s to early 50s West German postal and semi-postal stamps. I see quite a few $10-$15 stamps in the lot and there could be some worth considerably more.
