Dindefelo Falls

Dindefelo Falls is a tourist attraction and park in southeast Senegal. It is located just a few miles from the Guinean border. The falls are about 100 meters high. The park area forms part of the larger Niokolo-Koba National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere world heritage site.

Seven Falls of Guairá
April 29, 1982
Guairá Falls were a series of immense waterfalls on the Paraná River along the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The falls disappeared in October 1982 due to the filling of Itaipu Reservoir (Brazil and Paraguay). The falls were as high as 114 meters and had powerful flow volume.

Waterfalls and Hydroelectric Power Plants

Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 m and a drop of 60 m. It is situated on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland at the cliffs of the former coastline.
Gullfoss is located in the canyon of Hvítá river in southwest Iceland. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The water runs off a 30 m staircase and turns into a crevise.

Kaiteur Waterfalls
July 18, 1898
Kaieteur Falls is the world's widest single drop waterfall, located on the Potaro River in the Kaieteur National Park, in the Amazon forest. It has a total height of 251 m.
The two stamps were engraved and printed by Thomas De La Rue Co, London.

Iguazu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. They consist a chain of hundreds of waterfalls 2.8 km in extension, with 60 to over 80 meters of vertical drop.

One design features the Grand Falls.
Grand Falls, now named Churchill Falls, is a 75 m high waterfall located on the Churchill River (before 1965 the Hamilton River) in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Since 1970, the waters of the Churchill River have been diverted into the nearby Churchill Falls hydroelectric power station. Today a small volume of water flows down the falls only during spring thaw or periods of exceptional rains.

Salto do Rio Preto (Black River Falls) are located inside the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. They are 80 meters high and create a lake at the base of the falls.
Salto do Itiquira (Itiquira Falls) are located 34 kilometers north of Formosa in the state of Goiás and 115 kilometers from Brasília on a paved road. The falls have a height of 168 meters, making them possibly the highest accessible waterfall in Brazil and the second highest overall.

Victoria Falls, or Mosi-oa-Tunya, is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than a kilometer and a height of more than hundred meters. The waterfalls was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1989.

Laxapana Falls is on the Kalani River in Nuwara Eliya. At 126 meters high it is the 8th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.
