Yes they do have value.

To those that collect them, and also collect smaller amounts of them than I do, they are fascinating show and tell pictures, signs, pets, people, cars, motorcycles, etc, etc of everything that is important to a person at that time.

Like a snap shot of history on a stamp but really personalized.

On ebay, for example, the Canada stamps can sell for anywhere from 99c to $26.00 approximately, depending on design, eye appeal, collector interest, competition, etc.

France personal stamps are widely collected. Austria ones are very nice also.

Search on Stamp Community to find many topics about personalized or personalised stamps.

Always different ways to collect them too. Years created, pictures / photos, artwork, animals, cancels, on envelopes (covers), etc.

Canada's stamps are called Picture Postage, also known as Timbres Photo or TP and listed on ebay as Picture stamps or Picture Postage stamps.

France's are known now at MTM (Mon Timbre a Moi) (My stamp).

Australian ones are called P-Stamps or personalised.

Some nice-looking Japan (Nippon) personalized stamps, different years and subjects. I like the good size of these.

Thank you, Puzzler!

Mihai Eminescu maximum card (non-traditional maximum card, let's say, just because Eminescu has no geographic connection with Sterling, Virginia...it's just my homage/tribute/salute from Sterling), with my personalized stamp from endicia.com.

DC3, I hadn't heard of the famous writer myself. Reading the Wikipedia articles he is respected in many countries and areas of the world. Nicely done.

A slogan cancel about Australian personalized stamps, on a 2010 Australia stamp showing Hellfire Bay in Western Australia where there are red granite stripes, supposedly giving the bay it's rather gory name, it being part of Cape Le Grand National Park there.

A cancel (not dated so not a postmark or posting mark) showing how you can make cancels and postmarks a personalized way, or at least an addition to personalized way, of collecting stamps and related ephemera (envelopes, markers, labels, etc).

The postmark is from Dandelong LC, Victoria, 3175.
I think LC means something like Letter Center perhaps.
