Tourism - Lady of Elche
July 23, 1969
The Lady of Elche is a sandstone bust that was discovered in 1897 at L'Alcúdia, an archaeological site. The Lady of Elche is generally known as an Iberian sculpture from the 4th Century B.C., although the artisanship suggests strong Hellenistic influences. Currently the statue is kept in the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid.
