An earlier Australian trial was with the Gardens booklet of 2000. "A scratch and sniff cover on the stamp booklet evokes the scent of newly mown grass" (said Australia Post). |

Does this make all the other stamps in the album containing these stamps smell nice and rosy or eucalyptus like? This concept seems quite interesting! If I'm not mistaken didn't Switzerland issue some stamps which smell like chocolate? The only concern that I would have is about what effect time will have on these stamps. Will they discolor? |

Hi to all
I think, but correct me if I am wrong. The country that started it all with scented stamps was Tonga. I think there was Banana, Pineapple and others. Regards Horamakhet |

If you read my link, it was Bhutan 1973 Bhutan tends to lead the world in odd stamp formats, stamps as a CD Rom etc.
The tongan stamps were die cut but not scented AFAIK

India 2006 sandalwood tree and wood carved with elephants, the souvenir sheet / miniature sheet scented like sandalwood. Sheet in not embossed unfortunately. (I like embossed.) I've kept it in its own glassine envelope as I wasn't sure if the scent would spread or transfer. Nice smell but some people are sensitive to chemicals so better to be safe I think. |

I wonder if there is a smelly-sock stamp... Here is a rose sheet I just picked up... now I can stop and smell the roses while looking at my stamps! Another nice, smelly stamp... |

I think there's something wrong with my computer. I keep scratching the screen, but I can't smell anything! Are you sure these are scented? |

Quote: I wonder if there is a smelly-sock stamp. No smelly socks stamps allowed. That would just open up a whole different can of worms. Cans of worms are allowed though. Quote: now I can stop and smell the roses while looking at my stamps That is a nice sheet. Quote: I think there's something wrong with my computer. I keep scratching the screen, but I can't smell anything! Screens do not smell. Everybody knows that. The smell comes out of the top of the old monitors and the backs of the newer ones. You have to stand up and get close, closer, and lean over the monitor, kind of hugging it. |
