The French-built Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle, introduced in 1959, was the world's first short/medium-range jet airliner. Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting a Caravelle flying over the Saint-Pierre and Miquelon archipelago, designed and engraved by French artist Claude Hertenberger (1912-2002), and issued for use in Saint Pierre & Miquelon on November 4, 1957, Scott No. C22, plus a YouTube link to a short video of the flight of a Gabon Airlines Caravelle.
The Yakovlev AIR-7 was a one-off prototype Soviet high performance two-seat single-engined monoplane aircraft of the 1930s. Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting the AIR-7, designed by Russian artist Vasili Vasilievich Zavialov (1906-1972), printed by photogravure, and issued by Russia (USSR) on December 23, 1937 as one of a set of seven stamps commemorating the Jubilee Aircraft Exhibition, held in Moscow, Scott No. C69, Zagorski No. 473, plus a YouTube link to a short video about the Yakovlev AIR-7.

The Douglas DC-8 is a four-engine long-range narrow-body jet airliner built from 1958 to 1972 by the Douglas Aircraft Company. Henri Louis Rougier (1876-1956) was a French sportsman, racing cyclist, pioneer aeroplane pilot and sporting motorist. Here is an image of a stamp featuring a portrait of Rougier and depicting a Voisin biplane powered by a Gnôme Oméga engine flying over Monte-Carlo, designed and engraved by French artist Pierre Gandon (1899-1990), and issued by Monaco on December 15, 1970 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Rougier's first flight over the Mediterranean Sea, Scott No. 779, plus an image of a photograph of Henri Louis Rougier flying a Voisin biplane.

The Etrich-Rumpler Taube was a German built pre-World War I monoplane aircraft. Built by Rumpler as a 2-seat Taube floatplane, Start was the Royal Norwegian Navy's very first aeroplane, and its first flight was made on June 1, 1912 by Secondløytnant Hans Fleischer Dons. Here is an image of a stamp depicting the Start in flight over Oslo Fjord, designed by A. Johnson, printed by photogravure, and issued by Norway on June 1, 1962 to commemorate the 50th anniversary Norwegian aviation, Scott No. 405, Facit No. 501, plus a photo of the Start, and a YouTube link to a video about a recreation of a 1913 Etrich Taube aeroplane.
