Rodolphe Archibald Reiss (1875 – 1929)

was a Swiss forensic scientist, criminologist, and a great friend of Serbia, known for his pioneering work in forensic medicine. He founded the first academic program in forensic science and the Institute of Forensic Science, which greatly influenced the development of forensic medicine. During World War I, he was invited by the Serbian government to investigate Austro-Hungarian crimes against the Serbian population, publishing reports in Paris and London. He was a passionate advocate for truth and justice, and his work contributed to international awareness of wartime atrocities in Serbia.
