I think Cuba issued a whole series with cigars and their tobacco industry.

Well, only three months later, here are images of the three engraved stamps in the aforementioned series, designed by Cuban artist Enrique García Cabrera (1893-1949), and issued by Cuba on August 28, 1938 to publicize the Havana Tobacco Industry, Scott Nos. 356-58, SG Nos. 430-32.

The only US stamp that I know of that depicts a pipe smoker with a pipe is the William Faulkner stamp.

I understand that the original image from which the Robert Johnson stamp was made showed Johnson with a cigarette in his mouth, but when the image was adapted for the stamp, the cigarette disappeared.

The Brazilian Expeditionary Force (BEF) was a force of about 25,700 men and women organized and sent to fight alongside the Allied forces in the Mediterranean Theater of World War II. Here is an image of a stamp depicting the shoulder sleeve insignia of the BEF, printed by lithogravure, and issued by Brazil on July 18, 1945 to honor the BEF, Scott No. 636. Historical note: When Brazil entered the war in 1942, this unusual insignia was allegedly adopted by the BEF because previously it had been a common saying in Brazil that "a snake was more likely to smoke than Brazil was to enter the war!"
