53 here. Collected from age 13 to 16, stopped, then started again at 49 when I saw all the stamps I wanted as a kid for sale on ebay.

I'm 44. Started collecting very young, I'd say around 7 or 8 years old, collected until about age 13 or so, then dropped it for about 15 years, picked it up, dropped it again, repeat another time or two after that. Started back up in earnest a little over a year ago, and now, in just a year's time, it's progressed to a full blown obsession/addiction.

My mother used to say "A lady is not required to disclose her age." I admit to being over 40 but will stick with the anonymous poll. I still feel 18 inside.

54 here, God I'm freaking old....started when about 8 when a neighbor gave me an obscure worldwide album copyrighted 1937, with stamps in it. Re-started the habit recently. Also cycle, roads and rail trail. Other hobbies.....too many to name, involve choo choos and victrolas. John

In an attempt to bring the average up to a realistic level, I'll toss in my 73.
