Yikes, I'm 69 and you guys are younger than my 4 kids!

I really expected the average age to be at least in the 50s - but am very happy it is not.

edit - Doh! I just went back to the first page and see I was the first one that answered LOL. In my defense, it was 2 years ago :)

How about a poll of age groups. Anonymous of course.
Say under 20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51+

At our stamp meeting the concern came up that this is a dying hobby, which I negated with information I have at my finger tips from several forums. I've collectors as young as early 20's.

The demographics online more likely favor the younger crowd as some of the older generations don't like or use computers (not all, just some). One of my local stamp show dealers confessed that the last computer he used was an Apple IIe so I doubt he's been here. However, I'm 42 now and I'm still the youngest person at the local stamp clubs and shows. Computers/Internet is possibly the salvation of philately, but at least here in the Albany, New York I feel that there's a gulf between online philately and the local stamp shows and clubs. They are like two worlds that don't collide very often.

I turned 38 this year, but for some reason I keep thinking I'm 37. Unfortunately, my body seems to think it's much older lately. :P
