I found this stamp on an old page of Romania stamps, and of course, the blue cancellation caught my eye. Is this a cannon (or what do you think it is)? The stamp is well stuck to the with who knows what kind of adhesive. I have looked and looked for something like it, and am stumped. I knew I could turn to all of you to find out what this blue cancellation is. Thank you in advance for your help and ideas.

Hi Di1027

I am not an expert but this is my guess - - - Since the stamp is a perfin that could be used only by the company that used that perfin pattern, and since the cancellation does not look like any 'postal' cancellation I have seen before, I am inclined to think that it is the company's mark and that the stamp was used on a receipt, which was not uncommon in those days.

Hope this helps

Agree. And unfortunately I can not identify this perfin (small letters, a T, perhaps the previous letter is same-).Use of perfins was allowed from 1891. Here`s a link, you may want to check yourself:

-blue postmarks (postal cancellations) were not that rare in Romania.
