litho, is the whole Netto catalogue this good?

The Austria Netto Katalog is the specialized for Austria and I
think would be quite useful for anyone collecting that country.

The prices quoted are probably more realistic than Michel or Scott for sure.

The pages of plate flaws are not typical of all stamps but only for the Costume and the 1957/70 Building series.

Here are a couple of pages and as you can see it shows in addition to MNH and used prices,
also FDC, Schwarzdruck and quantities issued.

There are various sections such as local issues, newspaper stamps, Official and private reprints,
Christkindle postmarks, UN Vienna, values for Third Reich stamps postmarked in Austria 1938-1945 etc etc.

Here is a page showing local issues.

Like I mentioned before mine is 10 years old , the new one of course are in Euros but
maybe back in Schilling next year.

It's a great little catalogue and even though it's written in German it's not too difficult
to understand.

Bee See, sorry for hijacking the thread, won't do it again.

Those catalogues are great! No doubt that series is very popular in Austria and Europe - like the Centennials in Canada. I think I will work on the buildings next, I have a bunch of those!

Fifia - thanks for the offer I would like the stamp. I think though you need 50 posts before we can trade and I think it includes giveaways?

Jimjam & Philby I will email you both. With the different varieties I can never have enough!

I've got the whole set (if the difference in papertype doesn't matter to you), except for the 3 G girl. I've looked everywhere online and it seems people only want to sell them by set. I keep hoping that sooner or later one of the lots I buy has it. I may have to resort looking at stamp dealers in Germany or Austria. For some reason, I enjoy collecting definitive sets and having all but one of a definitive set makes me feel compelled to
buy that one.

I had been waiting for a bunch of these Austria Costumes to arrive from a few ebay sellers - they are all finally here

Some are shown:

And yes, I got a couple of the infamous 3g Tyrol Inn Valley girl

I will sort these and see what I need, and see if I can distinguish between fine and coarse printings.

Then we can trade, I have plenty of extras now.

I found that sometimes with these a legible date was the
deciding factor in finally deciding which type I had.

Ajnabii, try Poppe Stamps. They sell all stamps individually and their scans are very good.
