So, I am expanding my Asian interests in collecting and thinking about Thailand / Siam.

I already have around 150 different stamps from somewhere... I must have cataloged them at sometime, because I wrote 125 stamps CV 125.00.

It appears the majority are hinged, used, and have a cat# notation on the back...

So, does anyone here collect Thailand? Should I forgo these stamps for MNH?

Thoughts?

mount them on album pages or in catalog order ,so they will realize a better price when you go to sell them . Maybe after you mount them, or then think about building up the collection and increases both your value of the stamps and understanding of the country .

Collect them as you wish stampvirgin.

Thailand issued some nice stamps and if I was still collecting some of the Asiatic countries, Thailand would be one of them.

I think that they are good either mint or used.

From the 1910s through the 1940s, Bangkok (and perhaps other towns) occasionally used a HUGE handstamp canceller, almost the size of a silver dollar. Those are worth watching for, especially when centered on a pair or block. I've sold a few on ebay at 5x to 10x catalog.

Quality used picture postcards before World War II, as with much of Asia, bring excellent prices.
