Where or what is the irregularity in Dr.S.D.Chown

All I see is a colour variation.

Sorry lithograving...Look at the steeple cutting off some of the words between "Dr." and "S.D.Chown"...Looks like a big blob.

Yes I know Gilles le timbre, but such a large lump compared to a normal stamp, or is that not important enough to bring to some ones attention...???...Should I ignore further lumps and bumps so to speak...???

Wert I don't think you should give up looking for lumps and bumps or flies in the soup because you appear to have a lot
of fun in searching for them. Fun and enjoyment at your own pace and in any aspect of stamp collecting, that's what it's all about.

Plus I appreciate you showing your finds so we can discuss it.

lithograving Thanks....Until some gets tired of my posts...I enjoy (no love) looking for errors/flaws/varieties in Canadian and WW stamps...Probably will never find one, but like you said the hunt is as exciting as the kill (so to speak).

Definatly don't give up looking or posting. I found a rare Kluane 727iii double impression while doing the same as you. Fortunatly it was listed in unitrade but there are so many oddities that don't make the catalog yet deserve at the least a special note within your collection . Individually may not pay for retirement but an album full of oddities would surely get some attention down the road.

Since you seem to be interested in small printing issues with Canadian stamps, check out these 14-cent definitives with distinctive ink smears on them. They are both mint, original gum, uncancelled stamps, but the ink looks to have been smeared during the printing process:
