I don't know why I like these official stamps so much, but they just grab me!
These stamps (the verticals, not the two on the lower right, they're older) were issued in three sets between 1955 and 1982.
I've had a bunch of them for a while, and finally decided to add them to my 'just because' collection. Is their simplicity? The impression they look like soldiers standing at attention? I don't know.
Just thought I'd share them.

I agree that the Norwegian officials are good looking stamps.

Here is an example of the Norwegian officials that incorporated a symbol of the Norwegian version of the Nazi party:

This is Scott O54.

[A little better...just straightened, not rescanned.]

Interesting, jamesw, I too collect the above mentioned sets for no other reason than that they appeal to me. Most of mine come from 10 cent books. Its fun looking through and just picking out the stamps that appeal to you for some unknown reason.

Thanks for sharing.

jamesw,

I have these stamps. They are almost the same as the center one on the bottom row. You are welcome to have these.

Wow fifia, that's very generous of you. Yours look to be from two sets issued 1937-38 and 1939-47, right around the same time as Cjd's Nazi emblem (nice Nazi, by the way Cjd, and I never thought I'd be saying that!)
Fifia I'd be happy take these off your hands. Send me an email and let me know what you collect. Hopefully we can work out a trade.
The other two officials in my picture are 20o vermilion 1933-34 and the 30o scarlet 1951-52.

Looks like I've got another little side collection going here. Sweet!
