david, this time youre totally 100% right and I have to agree with you.your experience in stamp is just more than anyone at here currently even more than notrare which has 50 years of experience.beside that, you really helped me alot for providing me usefull information for my stamps.seriously,i really respect and believe in you.thanks for giving the information regarding this stamp(i nearly put it into the bin, luckily u helped me to save it),beside it.i saw some of my australia and great britain stamps with the same tiny perforation holes on horizontal sides too but no less hole at all.here is one of the best example of great britain machin stamps showing on the photo below.what you can see is many tiny holes on top perforation holes and 14 tiny holes on each stamp but unfortunely,i still have no idea what caused missing holes on the new zealand stamp.

Miko,

We never said you where wrong in the first place. You where the one to state that Tom (nr-notrare) and myself where wrong. As I said in an earlier post, "We are wrong to a degree, but yet we are also right to a degree." We where wrong as to the purpose of the cut, BUT we where right as to the fact that it had been cut from a sheet. No matter the purpose it has been cut.

Tom,
Regardless of what others may think. I appreciate you and your assistance when ever I have asked a question. Keep up the good work.

Hello Miko.....

I do not think that Davids' experience is more or less than mine.....it's just different....we have each studied different things....Aren't we all here to learn ? I freely admit I do not know everything and I'm sure that he would admit there are many things remaining outside his interests and experience. When I voice/write an opinion, it is just that....an opinion, based on years of experience, and I will stand by it unless I can be convinced otherwise. It does not bother me to have someone disagree in open friendly discussions.

I originally stated that your New Zealand stamp was cut......as it turns out....I was right.........But David has provided a plausible explanation as to how or why..........THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION.......collectors work together to find answers.

Concerning this strip of three.....I see a strip with the top perfs cut off.

Cimmarron......Thanks......it is nice to hear that you feel that I've been of help to you.
