Hi guys (again)

Look at the pic below.
It is the only stamp I could find that Canada printed where the "cent" sign came before the stamp price....!!

Well I'll be! Isn't that bizarre. Mr Hahn (the designer) must have left his rubber cement jar open that day.

Good catch wert. That is a strange one.

Another interesting observation of yours wert.

What I find curious is to why did Canada Post eliminate
the ¢ symbol from stamps issued
after the 1965 Christmas set (Scott, Unitrade 443-444) ?

lithograving... you bugger,(ha,ha) that was going to be one of my next posts.

Also when Canada Post prints a stamp, the word "Postes" in French always comes before the word "Postage" in English.

Nothing against my French brothers (cause I am half French)....Wonder why they printed stamps in that fashion...???

Can't blame Pierre for that one litho. Postes postage predates him by at least 40 years. I think it was first used on the 1927 Confederation issue.

James you are absolutely correct.

I must have been thinking of bilingualism instead.

Wert: great stuff! The question being more important than the answer was the premise for a John Le Carre novel called The Russia House, which was made into a great movie.

Wasn't PET responsible for Multiculturalism? The benefits and drawbacks of will be debated until long after the sun expands to consume our little home amongst the stars.

Before multiculturalism there was Biculturalism.
The recommendations of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism were implemented by Trudeau.
