2011 Scott catalog prices (quantities from Unitrade), issued 16Jul1908:
#96(0.5c) 5.00 (2 million) #97(1c) 4.50 (22.53 million) #98(2c) 2.00 (35.1 million) #99(5c) 50.00 (1.2 million) #100(7c) 100.00 (0.7 million) #101(10c) 125.00 (0.5 million)
I did not check your stamps for plate varieties. Catalog values are for sound VF used stamps. Keep in mind that some of your stamps either have major faults or are poorly centered, and that will cut the retail value significantly.

FYI Unitrade prices for these with fine centering are lower. 96 - $3 97 - $3.25 98 - $.75 99 - $30 100 - $50 101 - $80
I'd suggest that all of your examples, with the possible exception of #98 are of fine centering. I think 98 could be considered very fine, which would be $2.75 (Unitrade) There are those who may disagree with me. |

Quote: I think 98 could be considered very fine, which would be $2.75 But you will need to significantly deduct for the major crease that runs diagonally down and right, on the right half of the stamp. |

But you did make a good point, that Unitrade breaks down some of the catalog prices for less than VF centering. I would suggest using the ratios as a benchmark, and applying to the Scott catalog prices. Unitrade catalog prices tend to be higher than Scott. Although Unitrade is a much more comprehensive catalog, for most (not all) stamps the Scott catalog prices will be closer to average retail price (my opinion). |

Take into consideration that 99 thru 102 are notoriously off center and really good centering can fetch full and occasionaly above catalog. James hit the grades pretty well but for other issues the centering would be considered less than fine. |

Here is a scan from my album of the Quebec Tercentenary Issue. I am still looking for Scott #98 - 2˘ King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra in VFNH condition. Very difficult to find..... |

Stamporator: Your presentation absolutely took my breath away. The value is immaterial to me as my wife throws away that much in freezer-burnt food every year. I will take a screen shot of that so I can see how my collection could look. Thanks |

That # 100 is amazing - one of the toughest of the series to find with VF to XF centering. |

I'm posting to this topic even though it's from 2011 because these are mostly the same stamps and I haven't browsed around yet - first time posting. I also have sheets of 6, 5, and 3 of the 1/2-penny stamp (listed as Scott 96 in previous post of this topic) and of 8 and 2 of the 1-cent with Cartier and Champlain (listed as Scott 97 in previous post). These are my grandfather's, who collected them in hopes that they'd be worth something to his descendants. Now I think it might be time to sell some, and I would appreciate any guidance. Thank you! |

Your picture is too small to see any details on the stamps. You will need to scan them at 300dpi at least and then upload the images as rows or even individual stamps so we can get a decent look at them. The value of any stamp is heavily dependent on the centering and the condition of the stamp, these attributes are impossible to evaluate with such a tiny picture. |
