I'll have to keep an eye out for those hickey's now.

In the Sailing Vessel series #745 Tern Schooner, there is a 'bite' out of the bottom of the second 'a' in Canada. No such note in my 2006 Unitrade.

Not enough understanding on the printing process to know what causes this. Not sure how unique it is, but I do like searching for these oddities.

I'd like to offer some additionnal info regarding the Variety reported on 579i. According to the source (McCord Museum site) of the original painting, by George Heriot, in 1807, there were no medallion, so the error are the stamps with medallion.

Lithograving : how can I get a nice and clear scanned image like yours?
I have a HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one type.

I scan at 1200 dpi and I get a quite heavy image...and use ACDSee to work the images
TIA
