Hello Friends, this is my first post in this fine forum. I would like to know if anyone could help me ID this nice Italian Stamp I have found in one of my families 1920's Passports. I was not able to find this exact stamp in my searches, but have come close! But close doesnt count in collectibles! Thanks for any help or guidance.

Passport stamps are certainly collectable, but they're not listed in the regular catalogues, which means that I'm not sure how your stamp could be ID'd.

There may be a very specialised Italian-language catalogue which lists all kinds of issues, including passport stamps, but I don't think so.

The best online guide to Italian stamps doesn't list them. This website can be found at this address:

http://www.ibolli.it/index.php

A suggestion would be to search ebay Italy for 'Marca Consolare' and see what comes up.

Ahhh...thank You very much for your reply. I have never dealt with any Passport stamps before and in all honesty, I was searching through Italian Postal Stamps to try to make a Match. I now know what I was doing wrong...so thank you again. I think ebay will be a good start and appreciate the suggestion

Glad I could be of help!

There is something similar listed on ebay Italy. It's a passport stamp for the Italian Colonies:
