I have an odd German stamp that I haven't been able to figure out anything about. It is about 1 1/2 by 2 inches. In the top right it has a white word box with the words "Der Weisheit Unfang ift des herrn furcht. Spr. 9, 10." The picture on the stamp is of two animals, possibly llamas or deer, trotting down a hill. There look to be mountians in the background and some body of water. On either side of the animlas is some bushes. Any help anyone could give me would be much appreciated.
Welcome trasz. A picture of the stamp would help. A quick google translation (I don't sprechen german - obviously) says something about wisdom and fear of the Lord. Perhaps it is what we call a cinderella. A label produced by some church to spread fear er, the word of god.
Yeah...SPR= Sprache= Proverbs...here`s the KJV version. Proverbs 9,10:`The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom`...and thus probably deers (Ps. 42 `as the deer pants for the water`...but no llamas in the Old Testament :) ... )
