The Thailand dragon stamp sure looks good in multiples on a cover. Got this today, thanks to Scifi7.

Great dragons Fifia, and a few other creatures too!

Glad you received the cover ok Leng! Great to see it posted here

I'm sorry to see the cancels are still not great, it seems the date isn't clear. I posted it on 23rd January for CNY. My search for a good cancel from my local post offices goes on... I thought about leaving the postage a bit short, so that the P.O. would put a meter label on with the date. Maybe they'll get new ink stamps one day.

Leng - great avatar btw, that makes you an honorary special member of this topic!

That's a nice looking cover, scifi7 !

This is a 2007 stamp from Belgium showing the Tintin adventure The Blue Lotus translated into Chinese. The stamp was from a sheet of 25 stamps showing Tintin book covers in various languages.

Thanks Carebear!

Wonderful Tintin stamp, a new dragon for the den. I will look out for more from that sheet; I used to read Tintin. Haven't seen the film yet. I am a big fan of Pegg/Frost.

Carebear, one more post for 50

Some wonderful stamps shown on this thread, fantastic stuff! And I must say, how flattering to have the GOMC Cinderella I drew to be shown on the first page! Thanks Rod222! Very kind of you to think to include it!

Here is the 1st draft of the design, followed by a refined version:

You don't have to be antiqued to hang with the GOMC's!

Have a good one,

Skilo54

Austria dragon stamp
The Lindwurm (German for Dragon) of Klagenfurt (town name).

The story is that some young lads, responding to a reward offed by a Duke, tied a chain around a bull, the dragon swallowed the bull and thus was caught like a fish on a line and then afterward killed.

Fountain in the town's square.
