Here are images of the two similar stamps in a set depicting a 100-year-old tree, printed by lithography, and issued by Surinam on May 9, 1966 to commemorate the centenary of the Surinam Parliament, Scott Nos. 377 & 338. Historical note: This Parliament was abolished and superseded by a National Assembly following the coup d'état of 1980. - nethryk   |

This is one of my favorite tree stamps, issued by Niger on the first anniversary of the death of a tree. The Tree of Tenere was an acacia tree and the only tree within 250 miles of its location until it was struck and knocked down in 1973, reportedly by a drunk Libyan truck driver  |

Singapore's 1976 Wayside Trees set featured the Yellow Flame (10c), Cabbage Tree (35c), Rose of India (50c), and Variegated Coral Tree (75c). Stamps were designed by Tay Siew Chiah and multicolor litho printed by Secure of Singapore.  |
