My Scott mentions imperforated set as proofs.

I think you may have a piece of postal stationery from 1881. One of the values was a 25c in violet, and yours looks like it could be a cut square.

That was my first guess too. But the paper is somewhat thin for stationary, plus it matches one of the colors in that ebay lot.

I don't know the first thing about Netherlands Indies proofs.

This wouldn't have been a postcard, because the face values for postcards didn't get this high, so the paper stock could be on the lighter end of the scale. But I'm guessing.
