Here is a cover I have had in my collection for a little over a year now but have been unable to get any information on.

Does anyone know about this Hospital Branch cancellation. Did the hospital in Alexandrai, L.A. have its' own PO facility for the benefit if its' pastients and employees??

Any info would be appreciated.

Guessing it may have been a Veterans hospital. They were generally large enough to warrant a in-hospital mailroom. A search on google shows one still existing there.

Alexandria is in Rapides Parish, and according to Jim Forte's Postal History website, so is "Hospital Br.," which is a DPO. There is a Veterans' Hospital at Pineville, a smaller town adjacent to Alexandria.

The Hospital Branch post office was re-established in 1929 at the Veteran's Hospital at Alexandria, LA as per this except from the Postal Bulletin:
