Midnight submissions huh...that`s just 9 pm around here.
When I say listed or reported I mean I have seen the
variety in the Centennial Study Group newsletters.
Those newsletters are a great source of information.
It`s always fun when I find something that`s not listed
in the newsletters. I`ll post one of those tomorrow night.

Thanks for the explanation.

I took the "midnight" reference from the forum's date and time above your entries.

Thanks for your interest Blackjag!
This trio have not been reported in the newsletters
but I`m sure I`m not the first to find them.
It`s the Die II perf 12x12.5 with a dot above
the queen`s head.

Notice that this plate location also has the doubling of the 6.

The last post showed some doubling of the 6 on the Die II
stamps. Here`s 9 better examples.

From what I`ve read the doubling of the 6 is only found
on the Die II stamps. Here`s four examples of what appears
to be doubling on the Die I issue.

Another version of `stroke after 6` this one being the
black Die I perf 12x12.5. I posted the orange version
on page 7. A mark just to the right of the top of the 6.

Here is a strange one to figure out...Look at all the vertical lines on this 7 cent stamp...Especially the Queen's face...?

The vertical lines were added to the 6c design to darken
it. I think it`s very ugly.

This is the last of the 6c blacks for a while.
This one has a dot above the plane just right
of the top of the tower. It`s a small dot but
it`s a constant variety. Also found on the
12x12.5 orange. 12x12.5 Die I.

Ink smeared across the CANADA on the Perf 10 Orange
is called ink drag. Easy to find and there is usually
a large amount of `drag`.

Here`s seven extreme examples:

This is the `dot on chin` variety. Farther back and smaller
than the more common variety.

The Centennial Study Group newsletter says it`s rarity is
`perhaps 1 in 50k. The extra spire is 1 in 15k. That means
the chin dot is three times as scarce!
Anybody got an extra spire they want to trade for one of these.

This one has an odd shaped mark with a dot to the left.
In the bottom margin below the library steps.
