I`ve been searching through a bag of orange 6c stamps
lately with not much success until I found this gem.
It`s the forgery! Perf 12.5x12.5. It`s nice to find
the stamp in good condition.

Dots under the first and last A of CANADA. I posted the orange
perf 10 variety on page 5 and the black type on page 9 but here
is the orange perf 12.5x12 variety.

It pretty well proves the same plate was used for 3 different stamps.

This stamp has 3 marks across the middle(horizontal).
There is a clear mark in the right margin. Reported
varieties. Perf 12.5x12.

The other two marks, one between her face and the plane and the
other is in the left margin, are very weak on both my copies.

This one is called `mole on upper lip`. Die I Perf 12.5x12.
It`s from the 25 stamp booklet, row 9/1 so it has a straight
edge on the bottom and the left perfs are clipped. Also found
on the orange perf 10.

Hi AlanL,

was intrigued by your 6c centenial forgery. I decided to test the perf & fed it thru EzPerf. Here's what I got

Thanks for the high-tech perf test Marios. My perf gauge
is on the back cover of an old-old small Harris stock book.

The last two varieties I have posted are very similar.

Both have a big dot with a spec the same distance to the right.
Both are the same distance below the frame line.
Only the lower dots are different. It makes me wonder if
something went across the plate and made these marks on the
same row.

Unitrade 458di `extended lobster trap` variety. Perf 10.
I showed this variety on the first page of this thread.
I have a lot of these stamps but because of the perf 10 most
have faults. It`s nice to find a copy that is not damaged,
decently centred with a light cancel that does not cover the
variety. A gem copy.

This is not a plate variety. The line is caused by `ink drag`.
Ink drag is also found on the 6c stamps, especially the orange perf 10.
Here`s a 6c orange `ink drag` example:
