Yes the sloppy printing on the 8 cent stamp produced
all kinds of bruises on her face.

Did someone say stitches? Here`s a stamp that appears
to have stitches across the top margin.

Great thread !

I find that the hair of the queen on the 8 cents is quite different from one stamp to the other. The white on the back of the hair differs.

Take a close look at the bottom stamp. Part of her
left eye is missing. Also note that the bottom of the
1 is missing.

Does anybody have a nice clear scan of the
extra headlight variety? I`m searching the
6 cent orange stamps now and I don`t know
exactly what to look for.

alanl, about the 1 cent here, is it a good example of a "dry ink" variety?

... and the 6cents orange you are seeking, what should I look for, I'm not sure I understand about the "extra headlight" variety.

I still have thousand to sort from, so...maybe....maybe not

Thank you Major. Well...I wouldn`t have missed that. I`ve been
looking at a lot of those stamps lately but no luck.
I see it`s Winnipeg tagged too.

Hello

Just one small one to add...dot on "s" in "postage...and a bit of a line in the bottom right corner...an extra bit off the bottom of the second "A" in Canada.

Thanks Idaclare...I`ll be looking for those...the extended
frame line is very common.
