This is another variety that has been reported in
the BNAPS Journal. A dot below the C.

Hi again...I noticed looking through the one cent booklet stamps I have that the bottom stamp of the two is missing the brown ink on the right side..from her ear and the second "A" in Canada to the border.

You mean to say the ink is black instead of brown?
This is very common on these booklet panes.
The black ink from the 6 cent stamp gets mixed
with the brown somehow. You will notice the pair
I posted farther back with the eye partially missing
also has some black on it....Alan.

Haven't been to this site in ages. I just discovered this thread and it's amazing. Such a lot of great photos. I've never collected the Centennial Issues, but now I'm thinking of pulling out all the ones I can find just to check for the varieties. Thanks to all of you, for all the information.

Another 6 cent orange. This one has a dot in the
hair at the top of her head.

Here`s the first 2 cent stamp on this thread. This one
has a portion of the crossbar of the last A of Canada
missing. The bottom pair are the best examples.
Reported in the BNAPS Journal.

start lookin`. I went through about 2400 stamps
to find those three.

Hi alanl
Some of them you do not have to use a magnifying glass to see, they just jump out at you like this one I posted earlier.

Age and ms have taken their toll on my eyes.
Sometimes I see 2 dots and need a magnifying
glass to sort it out.

I thought I'd add a few images - of the 6 cent orange. From left to right, note the uncrossed "t" in "postage"; the broken "e" in "postage"; the broken "g" in "postage" and the slight break or thinning of the "a" in "postage". I have hundreds of used stamps from this issue and have never really had a good look at them. I am wondering if these are true plate flaws or if they occur for some other reason.

A bit small to see very much. These are probably caused
by under-inking or over-inking.
