Interesting story here. AC Roessler was angry that the US Post Office had not made a special Zeppelin stamp for the 1929 Around The World Tour so he took upon himself to fabricate a Graf Zeppelin overprint which he added to his mail. The government prosecuted him for fraud and got sentenced to 3 years in prison for the forgery.  |

Brasil 1986 50 years of Bartolomeu de Gusmão airport The airport was comissioned in 1936 and is located in Rio de Janeiro city, Brazil. It was buil to receive the passengers arriving from the LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin and LZ 129 Hindenburg. There, the passengers could make conections to south of Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia, through the Subsidiary of Lufthansa in Brazil, the Condor Syndicate.   |
