Parseval airships were built by the Luft-Fahrzeug-Gesellschaft (LFG) of Germany and were rivals of the Zeppelins. Parseval VI (PL6), shown here, held up to 12 passengers and 4 crew. Its maiden flight was 30 June 1910.

This Metzeler Rubber Co. advertising label indicates that the company's fabric was used in the construction of the airship.

Photograph, Most probably the LZ 126/ZR III over Friedrichshafen in 1924

The date on the backside is the date on which the journey of the ZR III to the USA began.

later know as USS Los Angeles.
