There isn't a listing in my Gibbons for the 2d yellow KGV (surface printed) without a watermark. Does anyone have access to a NZ specialised catalogue? If so, doe it give a CV for this item?

Thanks for looking!

Good evening jimjamtwo,
The only 2d yellow "no watermark" variety in my 2006 SG New Zealand catalogue is SG432a, from the 1915-30 issue. The stamps should have a widely spaced W43 watermark, which sometimes misses the stamp completely. My catalogue has this as £75 mint, £150 used.
So yours looks like a nice find.
Hope this helps.
DavidR

Thanks very much for the info, DavidR! Unfortunately, however, that listing is for a thin paper variety. Mine definitely isn't on thin paper, and, if anything, seems somewhat thicker than usual.

Also, while looking at this stamp, does anyone else think that the top left perf hole looks a little odd.

What would cause that, I wonder?
