From my limited knowledge, the only ones with a possibility are the last two you posted, on the far right. Reference jimjam's scan to see the horizontal lines to the left of the lyrebird to make sure.

I found this very informative thread while doing a web search for the lyrebird stamp, I would like an opinion on the attached scan if possible thanks.

And the Green Mist retouch only occurs on the 1956, no watermark, printing.

Thanks to all the members who have contributed to this post- it has given me the impetus to sort the lyrebird stamps in 'Grandpa's Stock Book', (approx. 100 stamps). I do not expect to discover a 'green mist' but I am sure it will help me to understand and appreciate the subtle differences.

Nie to find such an obvious flaw / fault.

Gets me excited when I see these.

Now, even with my old eyes, I can find interesting little varieties.

Oh my. Here are the images of the Lyre Birds I have I think they are 15 perf. If I am saying the terminology correctly. Don't know anything about a dusting of the yellow or what ever it is called. Please someone can you explain.

al, you'll have to provide more information if you'd like someone to help identify the stamp. The stamp varies by perforation and, I think, watermark.

If it has a watermark, then that confirms that it cannot be a green mist retouch. (The image confirms it, too, but the presence of a watermark cuts off any argument about what a viewer thinks he or she might be seeing.)
