Rarely do I see stamps at local thrift stores that are worth purchasing.

However, I found these a couple of days ago at the Langley Value Village. There were in two plastic bags, priced at $4.99 each.

I have not opened the sack with a bunch of 3c Jubilees, Edwards and numeral and leaf Victorias.

Amazingly, the other sack consisted of about 70 of the 3c small queens, 80 $1 Export trades, close to 400 1957 loonies, and 9 fine used 8c blue admirals, which catalog at about $6 each.

The small queens will be fun (or aggravating) to sort.

Don't know what to do with 400 used loonies!!

Very good buy.
I would have picked them up as well.
Hopefully, there's a few "dot" loonies in that 400.

Nice one. Any good postmarks? Can't see any in the photos but you never know. Look for reentries too.

I too congratulate you BeeSee

Those $1.00 Export stamps in fine used condition are usually hard to find too.

I would also have bought those as well.

Well done BeeSee. I often check the Value Village near me, but so far haven't found anything. Good for you.

I counted the small queens over the weekend, and my guess was wrong - there are about 170, not 70 !

Puzzler, I did not notice any unusual cancels, but I did not check them all carefully yet. I did pick out a dozen or so with the lower left dots, indicating #37, but most appear to be #41.

I assume this batch must have been checked for anything significant some time previous, but you never know. I will report my findings in one of the small queen threads.
