Hi TinMan,
Yes, it is the clear mounts that in the end decided me against either the Album complete or just the pages. I too prefer the black mounts. I have gradually accumulated a stockpile of black mount strips so not too costly now to add the odd size.

I keep hoping to find someone that has bought the hingless album to have some Regular Black Mystic or Showguard mounts they want to sell and I could purchase the stock at a cheap/reduced price. But I haven't had any luck finding anyone so far. |

Hi TinMan, This Hobbysupplyiesco guy does packages of Showgard and Hawid black mount strips. Some on the bay now. Item no 330716793923 will get you to one of his listings then search his other items. Located Minneapolis USA. Postage prohibitive for me, but should be cheaper inland USA. Terry |

Hi TinMan,
Sorry, got the wrong guy. Ignore last message. Misled by image on seller's page. There are some package deals though, I will try to dig them up.

Quote: Yea but Andy would that be Hand Stitched and have American Heirloom Collection embossed on it? Ha! Ha! If the album wouldn't be that ugly green, I might agree with you. A better replacement binder in the price range of Mystic's would be the Lighthouse Albums that come available in multiple colors (my choice being black) and come with matching slipcases. More info can be found here http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...s/US/US_2203 but they're cheaper on ebay for about $40 which includes shipping. CF |

Yea I agree on the ugly green but the premier look like black not that ugly green like mine are now. At least in the pictures they look darker almost a Dark Blue. |

Sell me some more stamps and you will be able to pay that extra. I need stamps! But I also need money. |

I posted on here previously about my experience with buying the Mystic hingeless album and my disappointment in how the pages looked- warped and wrinkled. I share some of the preferences many have for black mounts. I wonder if my solution would be to buy the 'premium' version of the regular album for $79.95- I'd get heavier pages and could then install my own black mounts! I think I read that the pages in the premium are much sturdier than the regular version. Can anyone confirm this? |

I've seen Mystics advertisement and it said it uses the same pages as the American Heirloom Album. |

Ok I'm looking at the catalog and it says the Hingless Album has Crystal Clear protective mounts are affixed to extra heavy stock paper. Just slide your stamps in and enjoy. I know I have read in some of their ads though they use the same pages. I'm still digging. I have a couple sales catalogs big Brochurs. I'll look.

Ok Mystics Annual Supplements and Blank pages . The ad says it will fit all Mystic, Scott or Harris Albums. So the pages are all the same. I'm still looking. |

Still digging. Here is an ad that has two different numbers for Blank Pages. GS531 for 24 sheets $3.50 and GS532 for Hingeless Blank Supplement pages #13.95 Of course you must pay more just for the mounts Doesn't say anything about weight of paper. I'm still digging. You better appr6eciate this. |

Ok This Stamp Showcase ad says "Extra Heavy Stock Paper" I Think you could call Mystic and ask and I think she would give you an honest answer. Just ask if the paper weight is the same on the Hingeless Album as the American Heirloom Album. Yet on the same page it says the premium Binder holds all Heirloom pages and supplements. |
