Does anyone know if there is a difference in quality between the various types of Scott blank pages? I am familiar with Scott National pages and I like the weight (thickness) of the pages. They can certainly support mounts. Are Scott Specialty and International pages the same weight or are they thinner?
Oh yeah, and does anyone know the dimensions of the various types of pages?
My Scott National pages seem to be about 80lb and measure 10x11.5". However, searching around for dimensions I am seeing conflicting reports on the exact dimensions of the various pages. For instance, one site says Scott National pages are 9 7/8x11 3/8 and I know that to be incorrect, having just measured mine.

And my understanding is that Scott uses B4 paper size, which is 9.84 × 13.90. |

Thanks, but I know for sure the National pages are 10x11.5" (not B4) as I just measured them in my Scott National album. I have seen conflicting information on the sizes of the pages. For instance, the ihobb.com site says this about the National pages: "Pages are published in the National Album format, single-sided, with the quality beige pages on 80 LB. stock and measuring 9-7/8 x 11-3/8 inches". But clearly this is wrong as I just measured mine at 10x11.5. I saw another site (can't recall now) that had different sizes for each one.
I suspect the International pages are lighter weight, mainly because there will be so many more pages in the international albums, and smaller dimensions. I also suspect the Specialty pages are also 10x11.5" and the same weight as National but not sure.
But I want to make sure before I decide on pages as I am trying to fit them to a binder from another manufacturer (I don't like the quality of Scott binders). Just thought maybe someone out there had International or Specialty pages and could measure them and compare weight. |

I checked an unopened package of International Blank Pages Border C and these are 11.5" tall by what looks to be 9 3/16" wide with two holes. According to Amos Publishing, the Volume 1 Internationals are currently printed on 70 lb paper. I don't know whether that holds true for the blank pages or more recent volumes. |

I am considering the Lighthouse Grande binders which are 3-ring with overall dimensions 11 1/2 x 13 1/4. They are advertised as "for sheets up 9 1/2 x 12" so I need to see if they actually can hold 10x11.5 sheets. I want a decent binder with slipcover and I want sheets larger (wider) than 8.5x11. So far everything else looks either pretty expensive or of inferior quality. I like the quality of the Lighthouse Vario binder and I assume Grande is same quality. I could buy Grande binders for less than $30 a piece, which seems good for the quality. The Lighthouse blank sheets are too expensive, but Scott pages are priced decently.
The Lighthouse website is also very confusing regarding dimensions of blank pages. I don't understand why the album vendors can't advertise the standard information I think everyone wants to know, including dimensions and paper weight. |

iHobb gives the page dimensions as 9.725" x 11.325". I would be interested to know which is correct as I am considering buying a Scott National 2 post green binder, and blank page packs for it, so would find the dimensions useful for setting up pages on my Mac.

Hungary- Scott Specialized pages are 10" x 11.5" (just measured)...and I also use the Lighthouse Classic Grande binders with slipcases for worldwide. At $28 plus shipping, they can't be beat for (a) looking classy, and (b) still holding relatively large pages. John |
