First Day cover from Finland Scott #1087 issued on Sept. 4, 1998, showing owls.

There are five stamps on the minature sheet, Scott #1087a-e:

#1087a Bubo bubo - Eurasian Eagle Owl
#1087b wing of Bubo bubo

#1087c Aegolius funereus - Boreal Owl (juvenile)

#1087d Strix nebulosa - Great Gray Owl

#1087e Nyctea scandiaca (now called Bubo scandiacus) - Snowy Owl

I won the FDC at the stamp club auction for $1.

Good price, t360; is it just me, or is the owl in the cachet (and corresponding stamp) a little anthropomorphic?
