A neat (to me) airmail cover.

Some of these covers I have shown still contain the contents like this one. Notice how sheer this cover is. It's like some sort of rice paper or a little thicker than tissue paper. Sort of interesting anyway.

Paraguay:

OK, here is the last two today. Most of the ratty ones were all tucked real neatly in an envelope at the bottom of the box. odd such care was taken with these?

The Taiwan R.O.C. cover with the pair of Scott #1040 stamps is really nice. It's funny that you have Operation Happy Child covers from R.O.C. as well. I think every box of mixed covers I've ever been through at a stamp show has at least one of these covers.

The last cover from Japan is interesting as it's from a Masonic Temple in Tokyo to a U.S. Army facility.

I've just acquired this cover which appears to have a very nice Barbados slogan cancel and is back stamped as being from the Finnish Consulate. It is addresses to a stamp dealer but I've yet to figure out the relevance of this cover - any suggestions welcome!

I really like it but honestly have no idea friend. I'm just now getting my feet wet with the world wide material. Only because I get so much of it and always feel guilty throwing it out or mailing it all to James...lol I figured I'd keep some.

Kaleva is a Finnish name. Most likely the stamp dealer made a contact with someone at the embassy, or was already friends with someone at the embassy and carried out correspondence with them. The stamp dealer may have asked the friend/contact for a sampling of recent issues from Barbados.

I love that airmail envelope. I have never seen one like that before.
