Arieh Sharon (1900 – 1984) was an Israeli architect and winner of the Israel Prize for Architecture in 1962. Sharon studied at the Bauhaus in Dessau and was a critical contributor to the early architecture in Israel. His projects include many medical centers, such as New Beilinson General Hospital, Tel Aviv University Medical School, and Wolfson General Hospital in Holon, Tel Aviv. His Yad Mordechai Memorial Museum was featured in the Architecture in Israel series issued on March 4, 1975.  |

Jeffrey Howlett (1928–2005) was an Western Australian modernist architect. He was a founding partner of Howlett and Bailey Architects, along with architect Donaly Bailey, which designed a number of Australian landmarks such as Council House (1961 - 1963) and the Perth Concert Hall (1971 - 1973). The Council House, with complete window walling and distinctive external sunbreakers, was featured in the Australian Landmarks series issued on July 10, 2007.  |

Sir James Frazer Stirling (1926 – 1992) was a British architect. He produced a number of large-scale urban projects as well as academic buildings. His notable projects include University of Leicester Engineering Building (Leicester), The Queen's College Florey Building (Oxford), New State Gallery (Stuttgart), History Faculty Library (Cambridge), Clore Gallery (London), and Social Science Research campus (Berlin). One of the German Tourism stamps issued on February 13, 2003 features the New State Gallery.  |

Walter A. Netsch (1920 – 2008), was an American architect based in Chicago. He was most closely associated with the brutalist style of architecture. His signature aesthetic is known as Field Theory and is based on rotating squares into complex shapes. He may be best known as the lead designer for the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and its famous Cadet Chapel. His other notable projects include The Regenstein Library at the University of Chicago, University Hall at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the east wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. The Cadet Chapel, the most visually compelling structure on the grounds of the US Air Force Academy, was featured in a stamp issued on April 1, 2004.  |

Günther Domenig (1934 – 2012) was an Austrian architect. He was recognized for producing highly regarded buildings in a brutalist style. His design signaled an expressionistic, counter-modernist aesthetic. His notable works include Zentralsparkasse Bank (Vienna), ReSoWi-Zentrum (Graz), Steinhaus (Steindorf), and T-Center (Vienna). His award-winning T-Center was featured in a stamp issued on October 19, 2016.  |

Sir Peter Cook (1936 - ) is an English architect, lecturer and author on architectural subjects. He founded an architectural group Archigram in the 1960s to promote neofuturistic, anti-heroic and pro-consumerist designs. He is a Senior Fellow of the Royal College of Art. His work includes the Kunsthaus Graz (Graz) (with Colin Fournier), Vienna Business and Economics University Law building (Vienna), the Abedian School of Architecture at Bond University (Gold Coast), and other buildings in Berlin, Madrid, Osaka and Nagoya. The Kunsthaus Graz (Graz Art Museum), a fine example of blobitecture, is featured in one of the Austrian modern architecture stamps issued on May 1, 2011.  |

Bernhard Hans Henry Scharoun (1893 – 1972) was a German architect. He was closely associated with modern architectural movements of the 1920s and was an important exponent of organic and expressionist architecture. Many of his important work, including German Maritime Museum, the theatre in Wolfsburg, and the State Library in Berlin, were completed after WWII. He was best known for designing the Berlin Philharmonic concert hall and the Schminke House in Löbau, Saxony. The Berlin Philharmonic concert hall was featured in a German tourism series issued on December 27, 2002 and a French European Capitals series on August 28, 2005.  |

Felix Rudolf Skoda (1931 - 2015) was a German architect and university lecturer. He spent most of his career in Leipzig, starting as a design architect and becoming chief architect of the Leipzig Development Council in 1976. He was chief architect for the Neue Gewandhaus (1976 - 1981) which was featured in a stamp issued on August 18, 1981.  |

Raul Hestnes Ferreira (1931 - ) is a Portuguese architect. He studied and collaborated in architecture workshops in Helsinki, Lisbon , Philadelphia and Porto. His notable projects include Center for Molecular Pathogenesis, the Institute of Social Sciences and Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon, Benedita Resource Center, and Library of Marvila. His José Gomes Ferreira Secondary School (1976 - 1980) was featured in a stamp issued on August 21, 2006.  |

Carlos Rubio Carvajal (1950 - ) is a Spanish architect based in Madrid. He works mainly on large scale urban projects including the SyV Tower in the Cuatro Torres Business Area in Madrid, the headquarters of Indra in Alcobendas and Torrejón de Ardoz, a Tower in Chamartín Island, the Landscape intervention Madrid Rio, and the Partial Plan of the Mahou-Vicente Calderón field in Madrid. His CyV Tower (Torre PwC) is featured in a stamp issued on September 9, 2009.  |

Lars Spuybroek (1959 - ) is a Dutch architect. He starts to gain international acclaim with his H2O Expo Water Pavilion on the island of Neeltje Jans, a fine example of a form of blobitecture. His Maison Folie de Wazemmes, a multi-functional culture center in Lille, France, is featured in a stamp issued on January 12, 2004.  |

Gottfried Böhm (1920 - ) is a German architect. He has been considered to be both an expressionist and post-Bauhaus architect. He won the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1986. His notable buildings include St. Columba Church (Cologne), Bensberg City Hall, Pilgrimage Church (Neviges), and Iglesia Youth Center Library (Cologne). His Pilgrimage Church at Neviges was featured in a modern German architecture stamp set issued on March 6, 1997.  |

Snřhetta is an international architecture firm founded by Craig Edward Dykers (1961 - ) and Kjetil Trćdal Thorsen (1958 - ). It produced a number of modern architecture projects such as Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Egypt), Oslo Opera House Norway), Lillehammer Art Museum (Norway), Ryerson University Student Learning Center (Canada), and James B. Hunt Jr. Library (United States). A stamp showing the New Oslo Opera House was issued on April 12, 2008.  |

Jan Kaplický (1937 – 2009) was a world-renowned Neofuturistic Czech architect. He was the leading architect behind the innovative design office Future Systems. His major projects include Hauer-King House (UK), Media Center, Lord's Cricket Ground (UK), Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari (Italy), Selfridges Building (UK), and West India Quay Bridge (UK). His best known Selfridges Building in Birmingham was featured in a modern architecture stamp issued by the Royal Mail on June 20, 2006.  |

The next ENTERprise Architects was founded by Ernst J. Fuchs (1963 - ) and Marie-Therese Harnoncourt (1967 - ) in 2000. The Vienna-based firm is known for its contemporary designs such as Mainz Archaeological Center, Warmbad Villach, Lakeside Bath, Cloud Tower, and Zirl House. Cloud Tower, a pavilion for open-air concerts in the grounds of a castle near Vienna, was featured in a stamp issued by Austrian Post on July 14, 2012.  |
