Since I am new to stamp collecting, I feel very overwhelmed at the number of stamps out there. All I am collecting is US stamps and I feel that there is a lot to catch up on. I am still struggling with figuring out the whole difference on die cut and non die cut. 11 3/4 perf. vs 11 1/4 perf.

So it has me wondering if it is okay to bypass that and just collect what appears to be the same stamp and not be concerned with the different variations of the stamps.

Not to mention the task to remove stamps that on paper.... I am still trying to figure out a fast and easier way to remove stamps with the adhesive on them. Water seems to damage the stamp so not sure what I am doing wrong...

Anyone can help and give me some good advice?
