19th Century United States Fancy Cancellations

I need to find out if their is much difference between "1951, 2nd edition, cloth by Herst & Zareski" and "1972, 4th edition, Billig Volume 33 by Herst & Sampson". I have Billig's but the 1951 edition seems to be much more in depth. Would anyone have a copy of the 1951 edition?

You have to be careful. Zareski was known to forge cancellations and then list them in the reference to give them credibility.

You probably want to find the Skinner/Eno book U.S. Cancellations 1851-1869.
