Continuing on my trek through Grandma's collection, I found this
cover. What is interesting is that almost every other stamp in my
Liberia Collection (some 500 stamps) are all CTO. Finding an actual
postally used issue was a treat. Not much value, but love the
incredibly careful and accurate lettering.

Partime, that is a pretty cover. Not being familiar with Liberian stamps, what is the meaning of the overprint?

Peter,

That is one of their many symbols for Official Stamp. They also had
a very small OFFICIAL, an O S, and versions of the Script example that
you see on the letter. Not much value (probably $0.75 in stamps) but
I just love the hand lettering on some of these items. I also like the
U.S. America.

I suspect this cover would bring substantially more than you think...

Well, that is good to know. Any SWAG?

In any case, it continues to stay with all the other items ... in a big
album ready to be split up to the Grandkids someday.

I'll see if I can post some other items later. Lots of Censor covers
where the darn label is covering some higher value stamps. Some are
more interesting than others.
