Calling on our Romanian experts (you know who you are!).
I have this blue postal tax stamp but can't find the design in my Scott's catalogue. Perhaps Michel's is better for this task?
It is very similar to the style of the 1916-18 'Queen Weaving' stamps, and in fact is by the same artist, Audisio (if I'm reading it right).
Can you help me with Iding this young lady?

Looking again in the catalogue I see a gap. The Romanian postal tax stamps jump from SC#RA8 in 1918 to SC#RA11 in 1919. Could this be where they are hiding?

Hi James,

She is from the same 1918 set as the Queen Weaving stamps in new colours; however, she wasn't used for postal tax but as an obligatory tax on other documents and so isn't listed in Scott or SG. There was a similar revenue 1 leu revenue stamp in red in the original 1916 set. Both sets also included revenue stamps for 50b, 2 lei, 5 lei and 50 lei.

I finally dug mine out for comparison,
both stamps identical.

For future reference, when I check
I shall use the reference point under the bodice of the Queen's tunic.

There lies the number "2571"

Hi Bruce,

The colours changed in the 1918 set.

In the 1916 set the postal tax stamps in this design were:

5b black & 10b chocolate

and in the 1918 set the postal tax stamps in this design were:

5b green & 10b black
