Some of the frustrations of Romanian Philately.
Perfin.
Perfin Unidentified anywhere I can see.

I cannot even Identify the stamp.
I have it as Scott # 225 (1911) yet the postmark suggests 2008
If the stamp is Sc#141 it should be tinted rose on back ?
I wonder if the tint is fugitive?

After all the advances in Philately, there appears no solution to a foolproof wmk detector.
Wmk detection of Romania can often be a hit and miss affair.

Scott 225 1911 25 bani P11˝ Unwmkd Pmk 3-3-1908 (guess)

Hi Rod
I think it's "ST.R."

I found this profile STR on a local sales site.
ST.R = Stan Rizescu was a businessman in the textile industry.

Also, if I had my thinking cap on,
it could not be a "3" , not enough room for a missing pin.

Romania Unidentified PERFIN
Seems to be a Bank Cancellation (Cheque?)
Any suggestions to any other countries that may have this puncture pattern?

I have exhausted searches on Romanian Perfins, Rom. Revenue perfins and Rom. forged perfins

No Romanian Perfin appears to exist with the puncture pattern "B& "

Hi Rod,
Your perfin might be Marmorosch, Blank&Co, a bank founded in 1864 (?).
Look for the letter M....which doesn't appear on your stamp.

@rod, I don't collect Romanian stamps, but the advantage of the language allows me to search for information.
I tried to identify the coat of arms on the embossed stamp.
The name in Romanian is "Timbru sec" - in translation the meaning is application without ink - relief/embossed marking.
In the lower right part, the letters ...BRU appear more clearly - I assume they are part of "Timbru"
Maybe you can see more... is it just the "bull's head" or the "eagle" as well?

@rod
For postal cancellations, I think you have that too:

The cancellation is of type B3 (double circle, with date in line) with subtypes B3a, b, c... depending on the shape of the ornament at the bottom.
