Mine was a case of the postmistress happily hand canceled but insisted it had to be mailed rather than hand it back. Found that odd since I've had no problems before- Does CAN POST really care if they cancel in use or not? So now I have both hand stamp and spray on that fortunatly were both done same day.

My daughter brought me today a couple of envelopes from
Christmas mail including this one I had sent her.
I had mailed it on the 10th not thinking at the time about
121212.
But here it is; not three but 4X12.

It's a bit rough on the edges but she saved the stamp.
She knows I collect stamps, as a matter of fact she used to
love help daddy soak stamps.
But she didn't know daddy also collects envelopes.

I'm going to keep it anyway though.

I sent myself an envelope on the 12th, just to have the cancel. I even made sure postal clerk stamped it.
Wouldn't you know the metallic in on the stamp I chose masks the third 12.

Plus the 12 12 14 inkjet postmark makes me look like a liar.
Can't win for trying.

I sent off some Aaron Rodgers covers to be cancelled in Oakmont, PA. I got them back along with a nice note from the lady who cancelled them saying that people say her son looks like Rodgers.

Here's what they look like:

This is on a postcard I received from a postcrossing partner.
Sorry, I do not know how to increase quality after using the
