Peru Postage Due Llamas

I do not collect Peru, but I have been obsessed with these stamps since I first saw a picture of one posted on SCF sometime earlier this year.

The reason I wanted these so bad is because my specialization within a specialization is the US 1869 Pictorial series.

These Peru stamps, like the 1869 Pictorials, were printed by the National Banknote Company, came with and without a 'G' grill, and use the same die for the ship as the US 117. Essentially, these stamps are an addendum to the 1869 Pictorial story.

Now, I have my first set :)
